LA MIRADA (CBS) — Authorities sought to track down four suspects in a botched robbery attempt at a La Mirada elementary school on Monday.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputies received a call early Monday morning that three males were allegedly hauling out computers inside Eastwood Elementary.
Lieutenant Bill Evans told KNX 1070 NEWSRADIO when they arrived they found a woman in a car with some school computers inside.
“There were additional computers outside the school buildings but on the school grounds that had been apparently been taken by some additional suspects,” said Evans.
Deputies immediately began a search for the suspects, but have yet to track down any of them.
“We did set up a containment and search the school and some of the surrounding areas, but we were unable to locate any additional suspects at this time,” Evans said.
The school is expected to be open as usual on Monday.
